Looking Back, Part 5

Well, I've really done it. I'm posting a Retrospective less than a year after the previous one! I know no one cares but me, but I personally am giving myself a round of applause. Will this happen again? I hope so! In fact I have cause for optimism on this front, because I have a pretty long backlog of posts built up at this point. That's not ideal, because I'm here to tell you right now that I read Lonesome Dove SO LONG AGO and yet here it is.

Top 100 So Far

This section of the List was characterized by a lot of mediocrity and also an entirely unforeseen issue, i.e. my feelings about several of these books were significantly more complex than "read it!", "don't bother", or "meh". I suspect that this problem will only get worse. Because an astounding 8 books out of 11 got 2/3 ratings this time around, my overall feelings toward the list have shifted from 43% positive at the last tabulation to 45% indifferent for this one. I really hope things take a turn for the better soon.

Here's the usual garbage-looking summary of how good the List books have been to date, and then we'll get into the list of links:

59. Zuleika Dobson by Max Beerbohm - 2/3
