Current Distractions, January 2017 Edition

Every month I swear I'll do better and then every month I fail.

January has been both very very cold and very unseasonably warm in Saskatchewan this year, and I've been trying to take advantage of said warmth when I can by taking walks to the library and so on. I don't have a lot to report besides that. I don't really know what I've been doing all month, but it seems like I haven't really consumed a ton of media, either.

Playing

Codenames
This was a really easy to learn party game that I hope will take over from things like Apples to Apples. If someone would like to purchase it for me, I would be happy to accept the gift.

Watching

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency
I sometimes feel like the only person who doesn't hate Max Landis (although I do think he could be a tiny bit more.. considered in his approach to some things, he's just an opinionated geek with a platform, not the worst person alive), but I hope that this series will change that somewhat. It's delightfully weird, and I'm more than a little in love with Samuel Barnett.

Star Trek TNG
We should be watching Discovery by now if my calculations are correct. Instead I'm continuing my rewatch.

Arrival

Moana
I actually saw this in December but forgot to mention it. It was excellent.
