Current Distractions, October 2020 Edition

In keeping with my last couple months of updates (changing leaves in August, no leaves in September), I can report that some snow fell this month. I've been engaged in a multiple-months-long organizing project that I'd hoped would finally allow me to get rid of all the things I've been hanging on to for too long in preparation for a long pandemic winter alone at home, but alas, I'm running out of steam. Deciding what to keep and what to get rid of are lifetime tasks and now I just want a tidy living room again.

I foolishly picked up a very long ghost story anthology that I've been trying to work all of my other reading around. It's meant that I have a constantly feeling of having too many books on the go, and I'm now hundreds of pages away from finishing any of them. What a mess.

I've also been debating doing NaNoWriMo next month for the first time in many years, but I think I need another year off.
