A little over ten years ago, I was fresh out of university with no job, and I decided that a good way to spend all of my extra time would be to start a book blog. I knew that I would need to read some books in advance, so I did that, and then on February 1, 2010, I posted my mission statement.
It's astonishing to think of how much has changed in my life in the ten years since then, but I'm going to save waxing poetic about all of that till I actually finish this project. It's perhaps equally astonishing that I haven't abandoned this project in all that time. Today, with the end in sight, I'm glad that I never gave up, but I'm equally glad that I'm going to be able to turn my attention elsewhere very soon.
I don't think there's anyone out there who's read this blog regularly from the beginning other than me, but if you have, please declare yourself! I'm going to be finishing this whether you're reading or not, but it would be nice to know if you're there.
Anyway, here's to the next year or so of this marathon!
