Current Distractions, May 2014 Edition

Well I don't have a lot of time to write this post, so it'll probably be a little bit lackluster. I'm sure you're all used to that by now.

May treated me alright. It abruptly got warm outside last weekend, so that was nice. Due to the whole "working out of town" thing I've been completely ignoring the outside of my house, since any hypothetical plantings will either die immediately or when my sisteroommate goes to Europe later in the summer. I did take our camp chairs out onto the deck that desperately needs a paint job, though, so maybe if I sit out there enough times I'll get sufficiently frustrated to paint the thing (I really hope to get it done this summer). And speaking of all this house stuff, I had a housewarming party on the May long weekend so now my house is officially open for business and visitors. The office/craft room where maybe someday I'll write these posts eventually is still a giant mess, though. Maybe I'll remedy that in June.

On Free Comic Book Day I read all of the Locke and Key series. I honestly don't know if comics are a thing that I can read. I'm not a very visual person, if you haven't been able to guess that based on my word-heavy posts, so I have to really force myself to look at the art in comics. I've gotten better over the years, but the medium still just doesn't grab me the way it seems to grab a lot of its fans. Maybe I just haven't read the right stuff yet, cuz to be honest I've barely read any comics yet. We'll see. I'm going to keep on trying for a little while yet. As for Locke and Key, it was pretty great.

Otherwise I don't think I did much of any interest whatsoever over the month. It's summertime, and I'm going to make an effort to have a bunch of posts scheduled and then not worry much about this blog until the fall. I'd like to enjoy this summer as much as I can. NOT THAT I DON'T LOVE BLOGGING HAHA.
